Christ Church United Methodist Youth & Young Adult Ministries
Our Youth and Young Adult Ministry is a very exciting and active part of Christ Church United Methodist. As people caring for people, we strive to become a close and supportive family that is ever growing as we welcome new youth into the family. We provide a variety of programs to meet the various needs of the youth of our church and our community. Sunday morning we provide a Junior and Senior High Sunday School during the 10:30 a.m. service.
Sunday afternoons we have a Youth Program at 5:30. During this time we become a family as we share a dinner together, play games, experience theme nights, have special social events and discuss issues of faith in a more laid back and youth friendly environment. We also provide various special activities for youth to attend during the year.
Our summers are filled with many “hang-out” times, planned special events and a mission trip that not only allows us to spend quality time as a youth family but allows us to serve others while challenging us to deepen our faith and commitment to Christ and our church community.
We are active in both district (other UMC church’s) events and conference retreats and camps. We strive to support the entire church community through service and participation in all church activities. Monthly the youth choir enjoys assisting at the 9 a.m. service and singing a special song at the 10:30 a.m. service. Keep your eye on the bulletin and the church newsletter (called the Channel) for more detailed information on current and upcoming schedules.
The Young Adult Ministry is under construction. We look forward to providing ministries for college students and young adults in new and exciting ways.
