Thank You for My Life

Dear God, thank you for my life on this earth, however challenging or not.

Thank you for giving me free will to love and be loved, to make my own decisions, to learn from my mistakes, to laugh when I am happy, to cry when I am sad.

Thank you for my family, my pets, and for every other living creature I meet along my journey.

Thank you for giving me the strength to overcome adversity, to do what’s right for the benefit of others, and to rise above negativity.

Thank you for giving me hope for an end to world suffering, pain and war for a better world filled with light and everlasting love.

We love music and welcome you to join one of our many choirs.

The Chancel Choir of Christ Church United Methodist

CHANCEL CHOIR

Listen To Our Choirs Perform!

Track 1 (Lamb of God by Bizet) features our very talented organist Janet Tolman on the organ and our equally talented choir director, Anthony Bernarducci on the piano.

Track 2 (The Wondrous Cross) features the beautiful voices of our chancel choir.

Track 3 (Carillon by L Vierne) features Janet Tolman on the organ

Track 4 (Now the Green Blade Riseth) features the glorious sounds of our bell choir -- Las Campanas De Cristo.

The Chancel Choir is a warm family of both non-musicians and musicians, whose goal is to reflect God's nature. Weekly, the choir participates in worship at the 10:30 AM service. All voice types are welcome, and we especially encourage the hesitant singer to participate.  No audition is necessary.

The choir performs a variety of literature to further enhance the worship service. Musical skills will develop whether you are a beginner or advanced musician.

The Chancel Choir is an excellent way to meet people and become more involved in one of the many ministries at Christ Church.

Childcare is provided. Rehearsals are held in the Chapel on Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  Please come join us at our first rehearsal as we begin the 2009-2010 season on Thursday, August 20th. Chancel choir is conducted by Anthony Bernarducci and accompanied by our organist Janet Tolman.

You are welcome to join The Chancel Choir at any time during the season.  Please stop by during one of our regular rehearsals, or contact Anthony at bernarducci@gmail.com

THE HANDBELL MINISTRY AT CHRIST CHURCH

Our handbell ministry is a vital part of the music program at our church. The handbell choir (LAS CAMPANAS DE CRISTO - the bells of Christ) meets weekly for rehearsals on Thursdays at 5:45-6:45 pm in the church sanctuary. The choir plays in worship once a month at the 10:30 serivce, usually on the 2nd Sunday. The bells are also often used to accompany hymns.

We believe that the sound of bells and chimes enhances our worship and as a result draws us closer to God. We have 4 octaves of English handbells and 4 octaves of hand chimes, all made by Malmark. We often need additional ringers. Please contact the Director of Handbell Ministries, John Neve, at jjnevo@hotmail.com or 520.795.4869 for more information or to volunteer your services.

The Praise Team provides music for the contemporary service with a whole lot of enthusiasm!

Youth Choir

Our youth choir is composed of youth ranging from 12-18 years of age. The choir is a great way to get involved in the Youth Program as well as learn fun new music. The youth choir sings in both the contemporary and traditional services once a month and rehearses Thursday evenings in the chapel from 5:45 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.

CHILDREN'S CHOIR

The children’s choir is open to all children from age four to fifth grade. Children learn to grow in their faith and in their ability to sing.
